Location: Crawley, United Kingdom. Thales UK is looking for a Fleet and Travel Manager for an exciting new role. You’ll lead the strategy and operations for our national travel programme and fleet of over 600 vehicles, managing a significant external spend of £25m and supporting employees across the UK.

What you’ll do
- Oversee and continually evolve travel & fleet policies to ensure compliance and cost-effectiveness.
- Resolve complex escalations for travel and fleet, providing expert solutions to senior stakeholders and teams.
- Deliver data-driven reports and audits, and champion lessons learned to improve safety and security.
- Lead system upgrades (such as Concur), pilot new initiatives and roll out training across the business.
- Drive sustainable mobility, including Scope 3 business travel objectives.
- Own strategic planning for our company fleet—policy, acquisition, maintenance, and disposals—while ensuring legal and internal compliance.
- Find smarter ways to manage costs, improve processes, and track performance using the latest fleet technology.
- Collaborate across our UK sites and share best practices globally.
What you’ll bring
- Experience in corporate travel or fleet management (operational, HR, procurement, or projects background welcome).
- Strong grasp of travel/expense policy, systems, and compliance.
- Great communicator, confident engaging with senior leaders, teams, and suppliers.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to performance and spend.
- Project management ability—leading rollouts, process reviews, and training.
- Adaptable and proactive in a fast-paced environment.
