Primary Purpose of the Role

To drive the evolution and deployment of Data and AI capabilities within the businesses and to our customers in order to increase growth in orders and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the IVVQ strategy across all Factory projects to ensure agile delivery of solutions to the end customer, including all required assurance evidence.
• Manage and perform unit, integration and end‑to‑end testing of individual software components or system‑under‑development.
• Define step‑by‑step the integration tree consistent with the system release plan.
• Develop, deploy and maintain software that performs or supports test activities such as test management, test design, test execution and results checking.
• Provide investigative support of a staging or SIL environment with the help of software or hardware tools.
• Identify test equipment, standard or specialised, and any special calibration requirements required at each test activity.
• Plan, estimate, monitor and control IVVQ activities.
• Identify the means required (enabling system) to validate the solution, and define the operational scenario and validation criteria to objectively assess compliance.
• Satisfy and manage customer expectations.
• Prepare test campaigns, run the tests and analyse the results.
• Write and update the integration and verification test procedures documentation.
• Lead the demonstration to the end customer.

Technical Skills

• Solid understanding of Engineering Project Management Principles.
• Good knowledge of component testing, integration and end‑to‑end verification, test automation, test equipment, requirements and test management, validation and acceptance.
• Familiarity with programming languages.
• Proven capacity to meet deadlines and achieve a balanced budget.
• Strong leadership and willingness to mentor junior team members.
• Creativity to deliver full customer satisfaction.
• Logical analysis of technical solutions and problem solving.
• Experience working on Linux or Windows based infrastructure.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Working knowledge of IVVQ tools, open‑source technologies and cloud services.
• Awareness of DevOps and Agile principles.
• Knowledge of business ecosystems, SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, SOA, APIs, open data, microservices, event‑driven IT, predictive analytics, machine learning and AI.

General IT Knowledge

• Applications, storage, networks, IT infrastructure, service level agreements, asset management and related domains.

Technical IT

• Security, transaction processing, user interface, data management, operating system services.
• Ability to design innovative solutions whilst adhering to strong security constraints.
• Experience with the latest technology trends and their application within data, including AI, machine learning, containerisation, IoT, big data and cloud.

Interpersonal Skills

• Ability to work in a complex multi‑stakeholder environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills that encourage an open environment and innovative thinking.
• Effective engagement with technical staff, suppliers and stakeholders to support delivery of solutions.

• Essential: 3 to 5 years of proven experience in test, integration, verification, validation and software qualification.
