Location: Cheadle, United Kingdom

Quality Assurance Manager at Thales plays a critical role in ensuring that all projects meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.

What the role offers:

  • Customer‑focused with the opportunity to interact across the business
  • Act as the voice of the customer and drive excellence in delivery
  • Hybrid working (3 days on site per week)
  • Thales will support a CQI membership and provide formal certified training where appropriate, such as lead auditor training

Day‑to‑day responsibilities:

  • Plan and conduct project audits and surveillance activities in accordance with the Project Quality Plans and audit strategy.
  • Represent the customer inside the project or bid team, maximizing satisfaction and supporting any actions.
  • Analyse and manage reports to continuously improve project quality and ensure performance is met on schedule.
  • Encourage and develop best practice, promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement.

About You:

  • Excellent organisational, time and project management skills to deliver on competing priorities.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to build key stakeholder relationships.
  • Problem‑solving ability, with the capacity to resolve complex issues in varied contexts.
  • Analytical skills to design and implement process improvements.
  • Critical thinking, sound judgement, and the ability to identify risks and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Relevant experience in Quality, ideally in manufacturing or engineering (desirable, not essential).
  • Knowledge of quality working practices and standards (desirable, not essential).

Security Clearance:

This role will require SC Clearance. It would be advantageous if currently held; however, if not, the successful applicant will undergo, achieve, and maintain SC Clearance.
