Where possible, we support a working pattern that suits your lifestyle and helps you reach your ambitions. 2025 Finance (Cashier) Apprentice – Level 2 Accountant Assistant Start Date: 01 September 2025 Salary: £16,000 (age 16-18), £21,000 (age 19+) per annum Employee type: Permanent Location: Crawley Working Schedule: Monday – Friday, 37 hours a week (8 hours Monday – Thursday, 5 hours Friday) If you are looking to start a career in finance, then this could be the apprenticeship for you! Our Level 2 Apprenticeship is a great first step into the industry, with progression routes available and full support to achieve your professional accountancy qualifications (AAT). What the role has to offer: Earn while you learn Job specific training experience Recognised qualifications Permanent role from day one We have an exciting opportunity to join a Level 2 Accounts Assistant Apprenticeship within our Finance function in Crawley. This is a broad role, which will provide a great introduction to the industry, with continued progression routes available for an exciting and diverse career within finance. Key responsibilities will include: Responding to Thales Business Support Services (TBSS) requests for cheque payments Writing and sending cheques Acquiring UK Bank signatures Banking any cheques & payments Sorting and distributing the post, and scanning any items to TBSS Portugal Printing customer invoices, dunning letters and sending via UK post Daily Administration Tasks Running and saving the bank statements as required Working with the UK Treasury department to input daily payments and answer any queries Travel & Expenses Applications Administration and Management of the Mailbox Monitor, assign and respond to the Cashiers Mail boxes Apprentice Programme You will be enrolling onto a Level 2 Accounts Assistant Apprenticeship with our award winning training partner. Delivered via a virtual model over 16 months, the apprenticeship will introduce you to day-to-day accounting activities and will help you to build the competence to deliver these successfully. On completion of the programme, you will achieve an AAT Level 2 Diploma in Accounting and will move into a Cashier role within our Crawley Finance function. Those who demonstrate the required aptitude and commitment will be supported to progress onto the Level 3 Assistant Account Apprenticeship over a further 18 months. Requirements: 5 GCSEs grade 9-4 (A-C), including English and Maths. Right to Work in the UK for the duration of the programme.
