Overview
As Obsolescence Manager, you will steer obsolescence activities to minimise risk and cost across projects. You will liaise between engineering, project teams and customers, delivering coherent obsolescence plans and reports on time and within budget. You will publish obsolescence documents in the PLM system, manage budgets and resources, and define strategies for related equipment. This role supports through-life sustainment within UK Services and requires proactive risk management and stakeholder alignment.

Responsibilities
- Publish obsolescence deliverables on time and within budget per contract
- Manage Work Package budgets and allocate resources in Programme Management tool
- Define and maintain obsolescence strategy for assigned equipment and cascading to suppliers
- Report progress to Project Managers and Functional Management
- Proactively monitor obsolescence issues and recommend mitigations and LTB procurement actions
- Liaise with internal/external customers to align expectations
- Identify and report risks to the Project Manager
- Perform additional project-specific duties as agreed
Key requirements
- Engineering degree or HND in a numerate discipline
- Microsoft Office advanced (including macros and Excel)
- Minimum 1 year experience in Programme Management, Programme Control, Work Package Management, or UK SERVICES
- Experience in obsolescence domain is not required but preferred
- Security Clearance: Sole British National and ability to obtain SC clearance
- UK residence requirement for full SC clearance (UKSV guidance)
