About the role:
We have a fantastic opportunity for a HSE Manager to join our team in Belfast. As a HSE Manager, you’ll provide HSE assurance to the Head of Site and CBU/BL/Domain Operations Director for their area managed.
Key responsibilities

Provide HSE support and guidance to the Site Transformation Programme at our sites in Northern Ireland, through direct engagement with the Transformation Project team, Industry, Real Estate and other business critical functions.

Provide competent advice and assist in managing HSE performance at Thales UK businesses, sites, projects and supporting functions as per the UK HSE Assurance Schedule;

Perform the HSE Assurance programme, to evaluate and support the implementation of any necessary corrective action. Assess audit results, analyse non-conformities, and monitor corrective actions until closure. Propose preventative measures and promote and implement improvements;

Implement the HSE strategy and Corporate Social Responsibility programmes (Objectives and Targets)

Ensuring all HSE Corporate Responsibility targets are communicated and implemented into business plans/objectives and annual budgets;

Support the HSE culture programme by providing assistance and feedback to programme

Ensure UK and Group common HSE tools and processes are effectively implemented;

Ensure robust processes are in place for the escalation, investigation and reporting of serious accidents, incidents and near misses
-
Analyse accident and incident trends and identify opportunities for improvement;
-
Ensure consistency and accuracy in the reporting of HSE compliance & performance;

Ensure compliance with legislation and Chorus 2.0 HSE processes;

Provide delivery of HSE Training as required;

Support the UK Quality function in supply chain auditing programmes, acting as Subject Matter Experts for HSE;

Interface with external stakeholders (eg. external audit and customers);

Share knowledge and best practice effectively within and across the Site/BL/CBU/Domain;

Co-operate and coordinate with any HSE Managers to ensure consistency of approach and

Ensure HSE plans are embedded in all projects as required
About you
Ideally, you’ll:

Strong knowledge of ISO 14001 and 45001 and auditing against the standards

Risk Assessment and Hazard Identification

Accident and Incident investigation

Data Analysis and reporting HSE performance

Strong written and verbal communication
-
A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role

Practical experience managing HSE at large multi site organisations

HSE Management in construction/CDM environment

Working in High-Risk environments

NEBOSH Diploma or Equivalent
-
UK driving license
