Overview
As a Software Engineer in Thales’ Maritime Mission Systems, you will help design and deliver next-generation sonar software for UK and international navies. You’ll work within the software development team in Crawley, collaborating across Thales sites to create HCI, acoustic processing, and middleware components. You’ll shape solutions with Systems Engineering, delivering robust software on time and within budget. This role offers hands-on impact in a critical defence domain and opportunities to travel and grow technically.

Responsibilities
- Design, implement and test HCI, acoustic processing and middleware software
- Define solutions with Systems Engineering and develop requirements and test strategy
- Deliver high-quality software as part of a project team, meeting customer requirements and timelines
- Support deployed software across land and at sea with customer support
- Collaborate with software management to develop skills, technology and ways of working
- Willingness to travel within the UK for project work
