Overview

As a Cash & Operating Capital Analyst at Thales UK, you will help optimize cash flow and working capital to support business performance. You will partner with Finance, Operations and Commercial teams to provide reporting, forecasting and insights across receivables, payables, inventory and capex. You turn complex data into clear recommendations and drive continuous improvement, including AI and automation opportunities in cash analysis. This hybrid Crawley role sits in a global tech organisation that values innovation, collaboration and development.

Responsibilities

  • Analyse key working capital metrics (receivables, payables, inventory, advances, capex)
  • Develop reports, dashboards and forecasts to support decision-making
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to improve cash performance
  • Prepare monthly cash flow and working capital reporting for senior leadership
  • Identify trends, risks and opportunities and provide actionable recommendations
  • Drive continuous improvement, including AI/automation in cash analysis

Key requirements

  • Qualified or part-qualified accountant or qualified by experience
  • Experience in cash flow forecasting and working capital analysis
  • Strong Excel and data analysis skills; exposure to ERP or BI tools
  • Collaborative mindset with ability to build stakeholder relationships
  • Clear communication of financial insights to diverse audiences
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving ability to identify and correct discrepancies
