The Underwater Systems Business Line (UWS BL) specializes in underwater systems, focusing on sonars for submarines, surface vessels, helicopters, and maritime patrol aircraft; mine countermeasures systems; underwater security; and support services. With over 50 years of experience in undersea warfare, UWS is a global leader and key exporter of sonars and related systems for navies. Bonus points if you’ve dabbled in C/C++ and understand object-oriented programming* We’ll want to see examples of your technical writing and presentation skills – think reports, papers, seminars, conferences, the works* Familiarity with UK in-service sonar systems and maritime capabilities would be great, but it’s not a dealbreaker* We welcome applicants from all backgrounds – including those outside defence or maritime sectors.
