About Thakkir
Thakkir is a Quran memorisation accountability app helping users stay consistent through partner matching, goal tracking, and reminders. We’re live on the App Store and building our brand across short-form video.
Role Overview
Own short-form video output for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts. You’ll plan, shoot, and edit content that showcases the app, user wins, and practical memorisation tips.
Responsibilities
- Produce 2-3 short videos per week (ideation → scripting → filming → editing).
- Repurpose app screen recordings, testimonials, and B-roll into platform-native content.
- Track basic metrics (views, watch time, saves) and iterate on what performs.
- Collaborate with the founder on content calendar and campaigns.
Requirements
- Strong grasp of TikTok/IG Reels formats and current trends.
- Proficient in video editing software (e.g. CapCut, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
- Clean, fast edits; captions, hooks, and retention-focused storytelling.
- Familiarity with Islamic content.
Preferred (not required)
- Comfortable appearing on camera for some videos.
