We are now looking for a confident and guest-focused Night Receptionist / Night Supervisor to be the face of the hotel overnight, ensuring exceptional service, smooth operations, and a safe, welcoming environment for our guests.
The Role
As Night Receptionist / Supervisor, you will take ownership of the hotel during the night shift, acting as the senior operational presence on duty. You will deliver outstanding guest service, supervise night operations, and ensure all procedures are completed accurately and efficiently. This role is ideal for an experienced Night Receptionist ready to take the next step, or an established Night Supervisor seeking a boutique hotel environment within a global brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Guest Experience
- Deliver a warm, professional, and personalised welcome to all guests during the night shift
- Handle check-ins, check-outs, and guest requests efficiently and courteously
- Resolve guest queries and complaints calmly and effectively, ensuring high satisfaction
- Night Operations
- Take responsibility for the hotel overnight, acting as the senior point of contact
- Complete night audit procedures accurately and on time
- Prepare reports for management and ensure a smooth handover to the morning team
- Monitor arrivals, departures, and room allocations
- Supervision & Safety
- Supervise night team members and coordinate duties where applicable
- Ensure hotel security procedures, health & safety standards, and emergency protocols are followed
- Liaise with security services and respond appropriately to incidents
- Brand & Standards
- Uphold Hotel Indigo and IHG brand standards at all times
- Ensure compliance with company policies, cash handling procedures, and data protection requirements
What We're Looking For
- Essential
- Previous experience as a Night Receptionist or Night Supervisor in a hotel environment
- Strong knowledge of night audit procedures
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Confident decision-maker able to work independently overnight
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Right to work in the UK
- Experience within IHG or another international hotel brand
- Familiarity with Opera or similar PMS systems
- Supervisory or team-leading experience
