We are currently seeking an experienced HR Manager to join a fast-paced manufacturing business on an immediate interim basis. This role will initially be for 3–6 months, with the strong potential to transition into a permanent position. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is comfortable operating in a manufacturing or operational environment, supporting both leadership and shop-floor employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day HR support across the business, advising managers on employee relations matters including absence, disciplinaries, grievances, and performance management.
- Support and coach line managers to ensure consistent application of HR policies and procedures.
- Lead on recruitment activity, onboarding, and workforce planning.
- Manage HR processes including contracts, policies, compliance, and HR documentation.
- Support change initiatives, including organisational change and employee engagement.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation and company policies.
- Act as a trusted partner to senior leadership and operational teams.
About You
- Proven experience as an HR Manager or Senior HR Business Partner, ideally within a manufacturing, engineering, FMCG, or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and employee relations.
- Confident, pragmatic, and comfortable working in a fast-moving, hands-on setting.
- CIPD qualified (Level 5 or above) or equivalent experience.
- Available to start immediately or at short notice.
