We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Engineering Supervisor at VPK, Selby supporting the Engineering Manager to lead and coordinate engineering and maintenance activities within our operation. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising a team of engineers and technicians, ensuring equipment reliability, promoting a strong safety culture, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

What you will do:

  • Supervise and support engineering and maintenance teams to ensure efficient daily operations.
  • Plan, schedule, and oversee preventative and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Monitor equipment performance and implement improvements to maximise uptime and reliability.
  • Coordinate engineering projects, installations, and upgrades.
  • Manage contractor activities and ensure work is completed safely and to specification.
  • Provide technical guidance, coaching, and development opportunities for team members.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and documentation.
  • Support root cause analysis and problem-solving activities for equipment failures.
  • Manage engineering resources and materials effectively.

Essential:

  • Degree, Higher National Diploma (HND), or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
