We are looking for a reliable and passionate Cook to join our friendly care home team. This is a rewarding role where you will play an important part in enhancing the wellbeing of our residents by providing nutritious, home‑cooked meals in a warm and welcoming environment.

The Role

  • Prepare and cook fresh, balanced meals for residents
  • Plan menus in line with dietary requirements and nutritional guidelines
  • Cater for specialist diets (e.g. soft diets, diabetic, allergies)
  • Maintain high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness
  • Manage stock, rotation and ordering of supplies
  • Work closely with care staff to ensure residents' needs and preferences are met

About You

  • Previous experience as a cook (care home or catering environment desirable)
  • Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards (Level 2 Food Hygiene preferred)
  • Understanding of dietary requirements for older people
  • Organised, reliable and able to work independently
  • Friendly, patient and compassionate approach
