Our client, an AJ100 Top 10 architectural practice, is seeking a talented Senior Architectural Technologist to join their growing team, working predominantly on a portfolio of Purpose-Built Student Accommodation (PBSA) projects across the UK. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a highly respected practice renowned for delivering innovative, sustainable and commercially successful living-sector developments.
The Role
As a Senior Architectural Technologist, you will play a key role in the technical delivery of complex PBSA developments from planning through to construction. You will be responsible for producing and coordinating technical information in Revit, liaising directly with clients and contractors, and ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, accurately and in line with programme requirements. This is a highly collaborative role where strong communication skills are just as important as technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the production and coordination of technical drawing packages using Revit.
- Deliver detailed design and construction information for major PBSA developments.
- Coordinate BIM models and technical information across multidisciplinary teams.
- Act as a key point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors and project stakeholders.
- Attend and lead design team meetings, technical workshops and site meetings.
- Resolve technical and construction-related challenges throughout project delivery.
- Ensure compliance with Building Regulations, legislation and quality standards.
- Support project delivery to programme and budget requirements.
- Mentor and support junior technical team members.
- Contribute to the successful delivery of multiple projects within the student accommodation sector.
About You
- Significant experience as an Architectural Technologist or Senior Architectural Technologist.
- Strong proficiency in Revit and BIM workflows.
- Experience delivering large-scale residential, mixed-use, Build-to-Rent or PBSA projects.
- Excellent technical detailing and construction knowledge.
- Proven ability to build lasting relationships with clients and contractors.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Confident leading meetings and coordinating project teams.
- Sound knowledge of UK Building Regulations and construction processes.
- Organised, proactive and capable of managing multiple project deadlines.
