About the Company:
TH Recruit is collaborating with a leading house builder renowned for their excellence in project delivery. With a strong presence in the East Midlands, our client is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their esteemed Commercial team.
Role Overview:
Joining a dynamic team, the Quantity Surveyor will play a key role in managing procurement, commercial, and contractual aspects of the business unit (BU). This position involves collaboration with various stakeholders including BUMT, site teams, subcontractors, external suppliers, and JV/Development partners.
Responsibilities:
- Schedule and quantify materials and labour.
- Ensure compliance of commercial procedures with Commercial Manual and Operating Framework.
- Collaborate with other departments to enhance project viability and cost-effectiveness.
- Maintain adherence to specifications, programs, and quality standards.
- Process applications, payments, and resolve finance-related issues.
- Assist in WIP and cash flow forecasting.
- Monitor and report project costs and variances.
- Prepare project budgets and manage development budgets.
- Conduct site valuations and attend meetings.
- Stay updated on relevant codes of practice and regulations.
- Attend meetings and maintain computer-based databases.
- Undertake any other duties as required by the Senior Commercial Manager.
Requirements:
- Good knowledge of Building Regulations, NHBC, and Health and Safety requirements.
- Industry-related business qualification.
- Ability to manage internal and external clients effectively.
- IT literate, experience with COINS system preferred.
