Planning Manager
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Planning Manager to join a leading housebuilder, working across a diverse portfolio of projects from strategic land promotion to immediate planning applications.
You’ll play a key role in shaping planning strategies, securing consents, and driving land acquisition and delivery targets. This role offers the chance to work on projects at varying scales, with extensive engagement across local authorities, stakeholders, and communities.
What you’ll be doing:
- Managing planning applications from submission through to decision and implementation
- Preparing site appraisals and reports to support new land opportunities
- Drafting planning statements, conditions discharge, and S106 submissions
- Overseeing external consultants and planning budgets
- Monitoring local planning policy and advising on its impact
- Leading stakeholder engagement, including with LPAs, councillors, statutory bodies, and the public
- Negotiating planning and legal agreements

- Strong experience in planning applications and promotions
- Ability to manage consultants and budgets effectively
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- A collaborative approach with confidence in stakeholder engagement
