A leading privately owned house builder renowned for constructing high-quality homes across the East and West Midlands, is seeking a Cost and Bonus Surveyor to join our dynamic Commercial Team.
Reporting to the Cost and Bonus Manager, this is a key role for a proactive and detail-oriented individual who will work closely with site management teams and trade operatives to ensure accurate measurement, recording of completed works, and timely payment processing.
Responsibilities include:
- Input data into the payroll system and reconcile final figures.
- Report on budget variances with detailed analysis.
- Collaborate with the commercial team to support the site budget setup process.
- Solid understanding of construction practices across all trades.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings.
- Strong communication skills for effective coordination between site and office teams.
- Exceptional organisational, planning, and time management abilities.
- Commercial acumen to identify and drive operational efficiencies.
- Excellent numeracy and IT skills (particularly Microsoft Excel and Word).
- Full UK driving licence is essential.
This role is ideal for individuals from a Quantity Surveying background (preferably with an HNC qualification). However, we also welcome applicants with site management or trade experience who are seeking a transition into a commercial role.
