We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Engineering professional to support this business's ambitious growth plans and develop their career as part of a dynamic team. Reporting to the Head of Engineering, the successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Section 38, Section 278 and Section 104 agreements, underpinned by sound engineering knowledge, including familiarity with NHBC Standards and service infrastructure requirements. You will confidently manage the adoption process and chair meetings with statutory authorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide engineering support across Technical, Commercial, Land, Sales and Construction teams throughout the development lifecycle.
- Commission and coordinate site surveys and specialist reports (e.g. archaeology, ecology, acoustics), ensuring full integration into design.
- Manage pre-construction information, risk registers, technical budgets and site fees.
- Review and approve engineering designs (roads, sewers, drainage, levels, utilities) for compliance, procurement and value engineering opportunities.
- Administer S38, S278 and S104 agreements, bonds and requisitions through to adoption, including management company handovers.
- Coordinate utility diversions and new connections.
- Attend and lead design, pre-start and site meetings.
- Undertake site inspections to ensure compliance with approved drawings, regulations and testing requirements.
