Are you a vehicle technician looking to transition from hands-on work? Our client is based in Nottingham and provides an automotive remote diagnostic & programming service to a customer base that stretches throughout Europe. They are seeking a talented, highly skilled Remote Automotive Diagnostic Technician to leverage their diagnostics platform for fault finding, repair advice, key programming, and module coding.
This role involves diagnosing and resolving automotive issues remotely across a variety of vehicles while providing expert support and guidance to onsite technicians. Requirements- This role would suit a Master Technician, preferably within a prestige dealer. You will be required to carry out in-depth diagnosis, module programming, key programming and be aware of latest procedures as well as being passionate about future technology.
- Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot vehicle issues remotely.
- Offer technical support and repair guidance via chat, mail, or phone.
- Interpret diagnostic codes, recommend fixes, and aim for first-contact resolution.
- Keep equipment and software updated, and stay abreast of new techniques.
- Collaborate with team, share insights, and maintain accurate records.
- Ensure excellent service for high customer satisfaction.
- Auto mechanic experience, especially with JLR, PSA, or Ford brands preferred, but all experienced applicants welcome.
- NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds qualification, or equivalent preferred.
- Excellent knowledge of vehicle mechanics, electronics, and electrical components.
- Proficient in automotive diagnostic software and equipment.
- Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a solution-oriented approach.
- Hybrid Working Model (Office & Home) – Probation period would be office based for training before offer of hybrid.
- 30 Days Holiday including Bank Holidays (increasing with length of service).
