MET Technician in Feltham

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced MET Technician to join a busy and professional commercial vehicle repair centre in Feltham, near Heathrow.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced MET Technician to join a modern workshop, working on HGVs, vans and fleet vehicles, with excellent training, career progression and a strong benefits package.

The Role

As an MET Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out high-quality mechanical, electrical and trim repairs on commercial vehicles following accident damage.

Requirements

Carrying out mechanical, electrical and trim repairs on HGVs, vans and fleet vehicles

Removing and refitting mechanical and electrical components

Diagnosing and rectifying faults where required

Carrying out repairs in line with manufacturer specifications

Working safely and efficiently to meet quality and productivity targets

Using modern workshop equipment and repair techniques

Working closely with Panel Technicians, Paint Sprayers and other workshop colleagues

Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment

Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard.

About You

We’re looking for an experienced MET Technician with:

• Previous experience as an MET Technician within a bodyshop, accident repair centre or commercial vehicle environment
  
• Experience working on HGVs, vans or fleet vehicles
  
• Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge
  
• Experience with vehicle strip and refit
  
• Good diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in your workmanship
  
• A professional and reliable approach
  
• The ability to work effectively as part of a busy team
  

ATA accreditation or an equivalent qualification would be advantageous.
