Our client is a well established Garage and MOT test centre in the Patchway area of North Bristol, they are looking for an experienced Mechanic who enjoys working in a faced paced environment to join their team. Reporting to the General Manager, the ideal candidate will be able to think on their feet and work well under pressure.
Requirements- Perform routine maintenance, servicing and repairs on vehicles and equipment
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues
- Repair or replace faulty components, such as engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspension systems
- Conduct inspections and perform preventative maintenance tasks
- Keep accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed
- Test drive vehicles to ensure proper functionality
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow
- Proven experience as a mechanic or similar role
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems and components
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
