TGW Logistics Group is a leading systems provider of highly automated, flexible solutions supporting distribution and fulfilment for leading retailers and global brands in e-commerce, apparel, general merchandise, and grocery. We are now recruiting for a Solution Designer to join our growing team in the Northern Europe Hub. The Solution Designer is responsible for creating and delivering material handling solutions during the sales phase, working closely with both the client and the wider TGW sales team to capture the requirements and deliver order‑winning proposals.
What you’ll be handling:
- Analyse and understand the customer requirements, processes & data, and draw conclusions which enable clear direction for the solution design
- Provide technical advice to the customer during the sales process
- Prepare a business case justification for the chosen concept, taking into consideration ROI, manpower, and investment
- Design the material flow diagram to suit the requirements
- Lead the design activity and guide the evolution of the layout design
- Ownership of the estimation and costing process
- Support and deliver presentations to explain and sell the solution and benefits to the client
- Liaise and collaborate with the wider TGW team for technical, cost and delivery schedule expertise
- Consult and support during the realisation phase of the project
What you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s in Engineering or Logistics
- Several years of relevant experience with profound know‑how of the material handling industry from a client or 3PL
- Strong ability to analyse data and customer processes
- Excellent knowledge of automation and material handling technologies
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work in a multi‑cultural team and work closely with the end customer
- Self‑confident, assertive, and capable of self‑reflection
- Willingness to travel across the Northern Europe Hub
