The Warranty Specialist will be responsible for managing all project-related and product-related warranty issues. They will monitor and control warranty spending across projects, reviewing costs to identify key quality concerns or areas for improvement for TGW Northern Europe. They will work closely with the relevant management and technical teams to understand the causes of warranty issues that lead to significant costs for TGW. This will involve working with cross-functional teams across the business.
WHAT YOU'LL BE HANDLING
- You will coordinate and manage any product recalls or defects arising from intercompany or third-party suppliers, keeping all stakeholders informed of the current situation.
- You will track warranty issues and defects with third-party suppliers and machinery, providing TGW management with recommendations on the best suppliers to ensure quality assurance.
- You will be responsible for reviewing and refining TGW's warranty contract terms and identifying areas for improvement that enhance TGW's warranty offerings. This includes focusing on the customer journey with TGW to ensure we provide a high-quality product and service.
- You will visit sites to observe ongoing warranty issues or those with high warranty spending.
- You will conduct site visits to review continuous improvement (CI) work that may help avoid or eliminate warranty issues in future products or projects.
- You will analyse data to identify trends or hotspots in warranty issues, creating reports with recommendations for improvement.
- From your understanding of budget management, you will monitor and control warranty spending, with the ability to forecast potential warranty costs based on historical data.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Required
- Experience with intralogistics systems from end to end of the solution.
- Knowledge and exposure to defect and liability management.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Control Systems.
- Strong skills in reporting, communication, and collaboration.
- Ability to manage and report on budgets effectively.
- Experience in Root Cause Analysis and Problem-Solving.
- Knowledge of warranty policies, contracts, and supporting documentation.
- Demonstrates accountability and the ability to make decisive choices.
Preferred
- Relevant educational background in software engineering or mechatronics.
- Experience in drafting warranty policies, contracts, and related support documentation.
- Understanding of quality assurance practices for evaluating suppliers.
- Ability to assess risks associated with warranty issues and effectively communicate these risks to stakeholders.
