We’re working with a leading MEP contractor delivering complex, high-value projects across Ireland, the UK and Europe. With a strong presence in sectors such as data centres, pharmaceutical, industrial and other mission-critical environments, they’re looking to appoint a Senior Planning Manager to support a growing pipeline of work in Dublin.
This is a senior leadership role where you’ll take ownership of planning across major MEP projects, driving programme performance and supporting project delivery from pre-construction through to handover.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading planning across large-scale MEP projects in Dublin and wider European portfolio
- Developing and managing detailed project programmes using Primavera P6
- Creating baseline schedules and maintaining programme control throughout delivery
- Carrying out critical path analysis, resource loading, and forecasting
- Identifying programme risks and implementing mitigation strategies
- Producing weekly and monthly progress reports for internal and client stakeholders
- Supporting commercial teams with delay analysis and EOT submissions
- Presenting programme updates to senior leadership and clients
- Working closely with project, engineering, commercial and site teams
- Leading and mentoring planners within the business
- Driving improvements across planning processes and project controls
What you will bring:
- 10+ years’ experience in planning within construction or MEP environments
- Strong MEP background – essential (design & build experience highly desirable)
- Proven experience delivering complex, high-value projects
- Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 (essential)
- Strong understanding of planning methodologies, project controls and risk management
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Experience within mission-critical sectors such as data centres or pharma is a strong advantage
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Previous experience leading or mentoring planning teams
- Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or similar (desirable)
- PMI-SP or equivalent certification beneficial
