Responsible for supporting and enhancing the delivery of projects from a technical perspective. This role reports to a Project Manager or Contracts Manager and involves both office-based and site-based duties depending on project requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop a full understanding of project details, designs, and specifications.
  • Compile and manage technical submittals as directed by the Project or Contracts Manager.
  • Collaborate with project teams, including Contracts, Project Management, Design, and Quantity Surveying, to support progress reporting.
  • Ensure all project-related email communication includes the correct job reference.
  • Raise Requests for Information (RFIs) and maintain the RFI schedule.
  • Follow up on orders for long-lead equipment and materials.
  • Ensure the latest drawing revisions are being used on site.
  • Redline drawings with as-built information and issue updates to the design team.
  • Monitor and report on subcontractor compliance.
  • Attend site meetings as required.
  • Support the Quantity Surveyor with variations, change documentation, and procurement activities.
  • Manage relevant external project correspondence.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable building regulations, industry standards, and health & safety requirements.
  • Adhere to all company EHSQ policies and procedures.
  • Assist in compiling Operation & Maintenance Manuals, commissioning documentation, and handover materials.
  • Maintain accurate records within the document management system.
  • Undertake additional tasks as required to support the project.

Qualifications

  • Degree-level qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline, or a relevant trade background.
  • Strong understanding of tendering processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Willingness to learn, adapt, and support multiple aspects of project delivery.
