Responsible for supporting and enhancing the delivery of projects from a technical perspective. This role reports to a Project Manager or Contracts Manager and involves both office-based and site-based duties depending on project requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop a full understanding of project details, designs, and specifications.
- Compile and manage technical submittals as directed by the Project or Contracts Manager.
- Collaborate with project teams, including Contracts, Project Management, Design, and Quantity Surveying, to support progress reporting.
- Ensure all project-related email communication includes the correct job reference.
- Raise Requests for Information (RFIs) and maintain the RFI schedule.
- Follow up on orders for long-lead equipment and materials.
- Ensure the latest drawing revisions are being used on site.
- Redline drawings with as-built information and issue updates to the design team.
- Monitor and report on subcontractor compliance.
- Attend site meetings as required.
- Support the Quantity Surveyor with variations, change documentation, and procurement activities.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable building regulations, industry standards, and health & safety requirements.
- Adhere to all company EHSQ policies and procedures.
- Assist in compiling Operation & Maintenance Manuals, commissioning documentation, and handover materials.
- Maintain accurate records within the document management system.
- Undertake additional tasks as required to support the project.
Qualifications
- Degree-level qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline, or a relevant trade background.
- Strong understanding of tendering processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office applications.
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and support multiple aspects of project delivery.
