Overview

An established MEP design and build company is seeking an experienced NICEIC Qualified Supervisor to oversee electrical compliance, inspection, and testing activities across a range of construction and engineering projects. The role ensures all electrical works meet the latest industry standards and NICEIC accreditation requirements while supporting project delivery and maintaining quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the NICEIC Qualifying Supervisor, ensuring full compliance with all accreditation and regulatory obligations.
  • Verify and approve electrical inspection and testing results to ensure compliance with BS7671 Wiring Regulations and NICEIC standards.
  • Manage and review the completion of all electrical certification to support project handovers and O&M documentation.
  • Conduct site inspections and quality audits to ensure installation standards are maintained.
  • Produce detailed inspection reports and ensure findings are communicated effectively to project and site teams.
  • Support project managers and engineers with technical guidance on electrical compliance and best practice.
  • Prepare and maintain records for NICEIC audits and assessments.
  • Carry out on-site testing as required to support certification and project completion.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Fully qualified electrician with recognised craft qualifications (e.g. NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent).
  • City & Guilds 2360 Part 1 & 2 / 2330 Level 2 & 3 or equivalent.
  • City & Guilds 2382 (18th Edition, BS7671:2018 or later).
  • City & Guilds 2391 (Inspection and Testing) or equivalent qualification.
  • Previous experience acting as a NICEIC Qualified Supervisor.
  • Strong understanding of electrical inspection, testing, and certification procedures.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience liaising with site teams and subcontractors to ensure compliance and quality assurance.
