This opportunity is with a global technology infrastructure provider specialising in end-to-end connectivity and integration services for enterprise clients. With over three decades of industry expertise and a multinational team, they deliver high-quality solutions across structured cabling, ICT infrastructure, and managed services.
Reporting to the Operations Director, the Projects Director will lead a high-performing team of Project Managers and Site Managers across major client programmes. You’ll take full ownership of project implementation, delivery, financial performance, and client satisfaction—while shaping operational excellence for the business unit.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Leading the strategic and commercial performance of the project delivery function
- Overseeing a team of Project Managers, Site Managers, and support staff to deliver multi-site, multi-discipline infrastructure projects
- Managing P&L and reporting on key financial metrics including revenue and margin
- Reviewing high-level project deliverables and ensuring best-in-class quality control
- Driving alignment between project delivery goals and broader business objectives
- Ensuring client satisfaction and long-term relationship development
- Supporting talent attraction, development, and retention within your department
- Working collaboratively with other senior leaders across Operations, Commercial, and Sales
- Mitigating risk, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing operational improvements
- Guiding clients on technical decisions and influencing solution outcomes
- Leading contractual discussions and pricing negotiations when required
What We’re Looking For:
- Extensive experience in delivering infrastructure or construction-related projects at a senior level
- Strong knowledge of project governance, delivery methodology (e.g. PRINCE2), and commercial management
- Proven success managing large teams across complex, multi-stakeholder environments
- Confident communicator with exceptional leadership and influencing skills
- Comfortable making data-driven decisions and presenting commercial outcomes
- Hands-on understanding of contract scope, technical deliverables, and supplier engagement
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to deliver against financial targets
- Experience using Microsoft Office tools and project management platforms
- Ability to manage multi-skilled, cross-functional teams working across various business units or technical disciplines
- A calm, solutions-oriented approach under pressure
