We are working with a specialist smart buildings and technology integrator delivering end-to-end digital infrastructure solutions across commercial real estate, data centres, residential and hospitality sectors. With a strong reputation for delivering integrated, multi-technology environments, they are now seeking a Pre-Sales / Pre-Construction Design Lead to take ownership of technical solutions from early engagement through to project handover. This is a key role sitting between sales, design and delivery, leading the development of high-quality, commercially robust smart building solutions.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading technical input across pre-sales, bid and pre-construction phases
- Owning opportunities from initial enquiry through to contract award and handover
- Designing and costing multi-technology smart building solutions
- Producing high-quality technical proposals, BoMs and cost models
- Working closely with sales, commercial and delivery teams to shape winning bids
- Attending client meetings, site surveys and presentations
- Leading pre-construction design coordination and ensuring smooth transition to delivery teams
- Managing design changes, variations and technical compliance post-award
- Building strong relationships with clients, consultants, suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members where required
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience in pre-sales / pre-construction design within smart buildings or ICT infrastructure
- Strong experience designing multi-technology solutions, including:
- Structured cabling (copper & fibre)
- Electronic security (CCTV, access control, intruder)
- AV and collaboration systems
- IoT / smart building platforms
- Experience working on large-scale or complex construction / technology projects
- Strong commercial awareness and experience producing cost models and tender submissions
- Ability to engage with clients and present technical solutions confidently
- Experience coordinating across multiple internal and external stakeholders
