We’re hiring a Lead Electrical Planner to join an international MEP contractor delivering complex, fast-paced projects across the data centre, pharmaceutical, and industrial sectors. Based in Glasgow, you’ll play a key role in ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with programme.
What you’ll be doing:
- Taking ownership of the electrical programme from tender through to commissioning and handover.
- Developing fully integrated project schedules using tools like Primavera P6 or MS Project.
- Coordinating with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure plans are aligned across disciplines.
- Identifying critical path activities, key milestones, and potential delays — and proposing solutions.
- Supporting project managers with lookaheads, progress updates, and recovery strategies.
- Working closely with site teams to ensure real-time progress tracking and accurate forecasting.
- Producing detailed reports for internal and client-facing meetings.
- Leading planning workshops and mentoring junior planners where needed.
What we’re looking for:
- 5+ years’ planning experience on major electrical installations (ideally in data centre or industrial environments).
- Strong working knowledge of planning software – Primavera P6 is ideal, MS Project also considered.
- Background in electrical engineering or trade strongly preferred.
- Ability to interpret drawings, scope, and sequencing from a technical perspective.
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to lead coordination across teams.
- Passion for planning, attention to detail, and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
- Right to work in the UK.
