We are currently seeking an experienced Data Centre Supervisor to support IT cabling infrastructure and operational services across client data centre environments.
The role will be responsible for overseeing Moves, Adds & Changes (MAC) and Business-as-Usual (BAU) activities, while coordinating site teams, resources and third-party vendors within a high-availability, 24/7 environment.
Working closely with Data Centre and Service Delivery management, you will help ensure SLA performance, operational efficiency and consistently high service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver and supervise MAC and BAU activities across data centre and campus environments.
- Plan, schedule and coordinate works in line with client requirements.
- Monitor SLA performance and elevate risks or issues where required.
- Supervise structured cabling, installation, decommissioning and equipment handling activities.
- Manage workload allocation, resource planning and shift coverage.
- Coordinate with clients, internal teams and third-party vendors.
- Support incident management, troubleshooting and first-line technical activities.
- Maintain accurate documentation, reporting, ticketing and asset tracking systems.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, quality standards and client processes.
- Attend operational and client meetings and contribute to continuous service improvements.
Requirements
- Relevant experience within a Data Centre MAC environment.
- Extensive experience with structured cabling installation, testing and fault finding.
- Strong knowledge of copper and fibre cabling and data centre infrastructure.
- Experience with asset management, ticketing systems and service delivery processes.
- Previous experience supervising teams and coordinating shift activities.
- Experience managing third-party vendors within large-scale operational environments.
- Strong organisational, communication, prioritisation and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure within a 24/7 data centre environment.
- Ability to support project delivery from design through to handover.
- Comp TIA Server+, Network+, CCNA or ITIL certification.
- BICSI, CDCTP or CDCMP certification.
- Previous experience within banking or enterprise data centre environments.
