You'll be joining a well-established IT infrastructure services provider supporting critical client data centre operations in Farnborough.
About the role
You'll be site-based, taking ownership of Moves, Adds & Changes activity and day-to-day BAU operations across data centre and campus environments.
Working closely with the Data Centre Manager and Service Delivery Manager, you'll help keep service delivery running smoothly and drive improvements to how the operation works day to day.
- What you'll be doing
- Delivering MAC and BAU activities across data centre and campus environments
- Planning, scheduling and executing works to meet client requirements
- Monitoring SLA performance and escalating risks early
- Coordinating with internal teams, clients and third-party vendors
- Supervising cabling, installation, decommissioning and equipment handling
- Managing workload allocation, resourcing and shift coverage
- Supporting incident management and first-line technical troubleshooting
- Keeping documentation, reporting and asset tracking accurate and up to date
What we're looking for
- Solid experience in a Data Centre MAC environment
- Strong background in structured cabling installation, testing and fault finding, copper and fibre
- Experience with asset management, ticketing systems and service delivery processes
- Confidence supervising shift activity and supporting projects from design through to handover
- Experience managing third-party vendors in large, operational environments
- Comfortable working under pressure in a 24/7 setting
Nice to have: BICSI, CDCTP, CDCMP, CCNA, ITIL or similar certifications, and experience in banking or enterprise data centre environments.
