Job Description – Fully Qualified Electrician

Location - London and sites across the UK

Applicants must be willing to travel extensively throughout the UK.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced

Fully Qualified Electrician to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out electrical installation, maintenance, inspection, testing and fault-finding work across London and sites throughout the UK.

This is a role suited to an electrician who is confident working independently, takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and is willing to travel extensively as part of the position.

Applicants must be Essex-based and willing to travel throughout the UK, including overnight stays where required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out electrical installation, maintenance, inspection and testing.
  • Diagnose, locate and rectify electrical faults.
  • Install, maintain and repair electrical systems and equipment.
  • Interpret electrical drawings, schematics and technical specifications.
  • Complete inspection and testing and accurately record results.
  • Complete electrical certificates, reports and job documentation.
  • Ensure all work complies with BS 7671 and relevant legislation.
  • Work safely and in accordance with RAMS and company procedures.
  • Maintain excellent standards of workmanship and customer service.
  • Liaise with clients, site managers, contractors and colleagues.
  • Identify additional works and report them to management.
  • Maintain company vehicles, tools and equipment.
  • Participate in the company's on-call rota.
  • Travel extensively throughout the UK as required.
  • Fully qualified electrician with a recognised Level 3 electrical qualification or equivalent.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
  • Proven experience working as a qualified electrician.
  • Strong inspection, testing and fault-finding ability.
  • Excellent understanding of electrical regulations and installation practices.
  • Ability to work from electrical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong health and safety awareness.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Must be Essex or kent based.
  • Must be willing to travel extensively throughout the UK.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • Professional attitude and excellent communication skills.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

  • 2391 Inspection & Testing or equivalent.
  • ECS/JIB grading.
  • Commercial and/or industrial electrical experience.
  • Experience working across multiple UK sites.
  • Experience with specialist electrical systems.
  • Additional electrical qualifications.
  • Personal Attributes
