As Principal Delivery Engineer, you will play a key role in defining and delivering the technical vision for complex capital projects. You will ensure that all engineering solutions are resilient, innovative, and aligned with business objectives, operational requirements, and industry best practice.

This position provides technical leadership and oversight across the full project lifecycle, supporting engineering design and delivery across multiple sites and regions. You will work closely with engineering leadership, project teams, and operational stakeholders to promote consistency, share best practice, and ensure high-quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop clear and comprehensive technical specifications and project briefs, ensuring alignment with business goals, operational needs, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide oversight of multidisciplinary designs, ensuring integration, compliance, and adherence to relevant standards and codes.
  • Review and challenge engineering designs to ensure they are robust, scalable, and cost-effective, with a focus on long-term performance and resilience.
  • Identify and address infrastructure issues, implementing corrective actions to maintain reliability and system integrity.
  • Assess critical systems to identify vulnerabilities and eliminate single points of failure.
  • Establish and manage risk registers, ensuring risks are identified, tracked, and mitigated throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop contingency and recovery plans to manage delays and minimise impact on delivery timelines.
  • Conduct technical and commercial evaluations of design options to support informed decision-making.
  • Drive engineering consistency, governance, and best practice across projects and locations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver practical, compliant, and high-quality engineering solutions.
