A leading provider of critical infrastructure and engineering solutions is seeking a Senior Electrical Sales Engineer to support the development of technical proposals and bid solutions across complex electrical and mission-critical projects.
This position plays a key role in pre-construction and bid activity, combining technical electrical expertise with commercial awareness to develop compliant, competitive, and client-focused solutions within data centre and critical infrastructure environments.
- Support the development of electrical design and technical solutions for bids, tenders, and sales proposals.
- Prepare and review technical and commercial submissions in line with client specifications and project requirements.
- Coordinate bid activities and engage with internal engineering teams, suppliers, and subcontractors to meet submission deadlines.
- Assist in developing winning bid strategies through market intelligence, technical expertise, and customer engagement.
- Produce accurate cost estimates, identify risks and opportunities, and support commercial reviews prior to submission.
- Ensure all tender responses are completed accurately and professionally, addressing all technical and commercial requirements.
- Maintain and update bid pipeline and sales activity records using internal systems and reporting tools.
- Support project handovers to delivery teams, ensuring technical scope, specifications, and customer requirements are clearly communicated.
- Act as a technical support resource for project teams during early project stages where required.
- Promote high standards of safety, quality, and compliance throughout all tendering and commercial activities.
Previous experience within an electrical or M&E environment, ideally within data centres or critical infrastructure projects.
Strong understanding of electrical systems and associated building services infrastructure.
Experience supporting bids, tenders, proposals, estimating, or pre-construction activities.
Good commercial awareness including costing, risk management, and profitability considerations.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint.
Relevant industry qualifications within Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or Construction.
SMSTS and CSCS certifications beneficial.
Understanding of data centre environments and mission-critical infrastructure preferred.
