Role: Field liquid cooling engineer (data centre) Location: London (UK) / Europe-wide travel involved Salary: £50,000 - £70,000 per diem and accommodation when travelling bonus Role type: Full-Time | Immediate Start We’re working with a growing specialist business supporting some of the biggest hyperscale and colocation environments across Europe, and they’re looking for a hands-on Data Centre Field Service Engineer to join the team . This is a field-based role focused on commissioning, maintenance, fault finding, and project ownership across critical cooling infrastructure within live data centre environment s. You’ll be working on systems such as Rear Door Heat Exchangers (RDHx), InRow Coolers, associated controls, and cooling water pipework across customer sites throughout Germany and wider Euro pe. What you’ll be do ing:Installing, commissioning, and handing over mechanical and electrical systems within live data centre environm entsWorking on cooling water systems, pipework, leak testing, pressure testing, and final functional sign -offConnecting and checking low-voltage controls (12V / 24V DC) and 240V AC power connect ionsDiagnosing faults across cooling systems, controllers, and associated electrical/mechanical compon entsCarrying out planned maintenance and reactive callouts across multiple European s itesProducing service reports, installation records, and technical documenta tionActing as the on-site technical lead, coordinating with customers, contractors, and internal t eamsManaging projects from arrival on site through to successful hand over What we’re looking for:Background in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, or similar technical fieldStrong field service experience within data centres, critical environments, or industrial engine eringMechanical-first engineers are particularly of interest, especially those comfortable learning the controls sideExperience with cooling systems, pipe fitting, HVAC, controls, or low-voltage systems would be highly benef icialComfortable working independently and taking ownership on customer sitesHappy with regular travel across Germany and Europe, including periods working away from homeStrong English communication skills (German is beneficial but not essen tial)Full driving licence and valid passport req uired What’s on offer:Long-term opportunity within a fast-growing data centre marketExposure to major hyperscaler and colocation projects across EuropeStrong package including travel allowances and per diemsFull tools, PPE, laptop, and phone pr ovidedStructured onboarding, training, and certific ationsClear progression within a specialist technica l team
