Overview: One of our clients are seeking an experienced Data Center Cabling PM to oversee onsite teams and manage the successful delivery of large-scale infrastructure deployment projects. This role involves coordinating all aspects of data center installation activities — including structured cabling, rack and stack operations, and compliance with technical and safety standards — across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage onsite engineering teams of 4–10 personnel during data center installations of varying size and complexity.
- Serve as the primary onsite point of contact (“hot wire”) for project coordination, issue resolution, and progress reporting.
- Plan, execute, and supervise the installation of structured cabling systems (copper and fiber), ensuring high standards of cable dressing, labeling, and containment.
- Oversee rack and stack operations, including work with diverse mounting systems and vendor hardware.
- Ensure full compliance with data center standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
- Proactively identify and communicate site issues, installation challenges, and potential delays to internal and client stakeholders.
- Coordinate with project management, engineering, and client teams to maintain project timelines, quality, and deliverables.
- Travel as required to domestic and international deployment sites.
Required Experience
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with structured cabling systems (copper and fiber).
- Strong attention to detail in cable routing, dressing, and labeling across containment systems.
- Proven success managing large-scale HPC or data center installations.
- Proficiency in rack and stack operations, including multiple mounting systems and diverse hardware vendors.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently while effectively managing onsite teams.
- Willingness and flexibility to travel for deployments as needed.
