A Data Center Technician is responsible for physical installation, maintenance, and support of servers and network infrastructure. This role focuses on hardware racking, structured cable management, inventory control, and coordination of shipping and receiving processes.
Core Responsibilities
- Rack and stack servers, network switches, and storage devices following documented procedures.
- Execute high-precision cable management for copper and fiber assemblies.
- Perform inventory audits, update asset management systems, and reconcile discrepancies.
- Coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments, including packaging, labeling, and documentation.
- Collaborate with operations, security, and facilities teams for smooth workflow.
