A growing organisation is seeking a senior Commercial / Quantity Surveying Leader to provide commercial oversight, governance, and strategic support across multiple projects. The role involves leading commercial performance, managing risk, and developing a high-performing commercial team while working closely with project and operational stakeholders.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide commercial leadership and governance across all projects, ensuring effective cost control and financial management.
  • Deliver regular commercial updates and financial reports to senior leadership.
  • Prepare accurate monthly and ad-hoc financial reports, tracking revenue, costs, risks, and opportunities.
  • Identify, evaluate, negotiate, and mitigate commercial and contractual risks.
  • Ensure timely and accurate forecasting, budget control, and reporting of key commercial performance indicators.
  • Escalate significant commercial risks and issues to senior leadership with clear recommendations.
  • Support internal and external audits through the provision of accurate documentation and commercial insight.
  • Lead, manage, and develop a team of commercial or quantity surveying professionals.
  • Set objectives, conduct one-to-one meetings, performance reviews, and appraisals.
  • Identify training needs and support ongoing professional development and career progression.
  • Allocate resources effectively across projects to balance workloads and priorities.
