Central Buying Administrator – Swindon Support Centre (hybrid working with 3 days per week in the office)

With a rich heritage and a new name,

TGJones is the fresh face of a much-loved and trusted British brand.

Our roots lie in WHSmith, where we’ve proudly supported the high street retail estate for generations.

Now, under the ownership of specialist retail investors, Modella Capital, we’re entering an exciting new chapter with bold ambitions to become ‘Your Hub of the High Street’.

About the role

We’re seeking a creative, curious, and proactive Administrator to join our High Street Central Admin team, based at our Support Centre in Swindon.

The Central Admin role is right at the heart of the Central Operations team and is a great stepping‑stone into a career at TGJones.

You will support the Trading teams by making it possible to get new ranges into stores and will be integral to delivering the day‑to‑day implementation.

Key responsibilities

  • Managing the set up and maintenance of lines/range in Stationery, Books, News, Impulse and all Trading categories
  • Updating and amending pricing
  • Managing the set up and maintenance of promotional activity
  • Running ad‑hoc data and reporting
  • Be part of the wider admin community, driving continuous improvement to our processes

About you

We’re looking for people who want to build a career, not just find a job – individuals who are curious, committed, and full of ideas.

At our Support Centre, you’ll be part of a business that values innovation, collaboration, and long‑term growth.

Experience required

  • Strong educational background with retail or administrative experience desirable; resilient and adaptable in fast‑paced environments
  • Computer literate with solid Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel; strong numerical ability
  • Excellent administrative and organisational capabilities, including attention to detail and effective multi‑tasking
  • Great stakeholder management and teamwork skills; proactive, resourceful, and able to demonstrate problem‑solving abilities
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
