About the role
We’re seeking a strategic, commercially astute, results-driven People Partner to join our High Street People team, based at our Support Centre in Swindon.
In this role, you’ll provide day-to-day HR support while playing a key role in delivering the People Plan to our Support Centre teams. Our People team is passionate about fostering an environment where individuals can thrive and perform at their best. Key responsibilities will include;
- Supporting the delivery of the TGJones People plan aligned to business objectives
- Driving forward our engagement strategy as well as DEI, wellbeing & talent development agendas
- Driving operational efficiency with a firm grasp on cost
- Driving best-practice ways of working across HR policies and facilitating the resolution of people-related issues
- Supporting the People Leadership Team in delivering the wider people agenda and assisting on strategic projects as required
- Collaborating with the wider People Team, ensuring that all HR Shared Service tasks are processed effectively, and Employee Relations cases are managed efficiently
About you

At our Support Centre, you’ll be part of a dynamic, future-focused organisation that champions collaboration, continuous growth, and meaningful impact. Experience required for this role will include;
- A broad, generalist understanding of all HR processes and activities including employee relations, engagement & capability, organisational development, talent management
- CIPD qualification is desirable, with significant experience of providing business partner support to stakeholders at all levels
- At least 2 years’ experience in a People Partner role or similar
- Ability to think strategically and creatively when it comes to problem solving, identifying pragmatic and measured solutions
- Commercial awareness, ability to balance employee experience and costs and use own judgement to make independent decisions
- Strong analytical skills with ability to use HR metrics and analytics to measure the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives. Able to interpret data to identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement
- Exceptional influencing skills and emotional intelligence; able to understand and relate to people and navigate through tough situations and change
- Previous experience of delivering in-house development programmes/line manager training advantageous
- As this is a customer facing role, you will be required to work within the Swindon Support Centre for 3 days per week
