About the role
The role is responsible for producing Distribution Centre & Transport volume forecasts including long term strategic scenarios, annual budgets and short term tactical plans to align Logistics activity in supporting the TGJones trading plans. The role will also support the future Logistics network development agenda and business projects requiring Logistics involvement.
- Produce DC & Transport annual budget/FC1/FC2 volumes aligning activity to company sales plans for TGJones.
- Develop a new planning model to reflect the Logistics network following the separation of the TGJones & TGJones businesses.
- Lead the weekly Merchandising & Logistics re-forecasting processes to update DC activity plans.
- Support Logistics development agenda through the provision and analysis of business data.
- Coordinate the Logistics activity for business projects as required.
- Provide cover for the Head of Logistics Planning as necessary.
- Support or lead (as appropriate) Logistics activity required to support the on-going development of the TGJones business model (e.g. new business opportunities, collaboration with other Modella owned companies etc).
- Primary point of contact within the Logistics function for stores openings and closures.
- Ad hoc Logistics/business data requests using WHS systems.
About you
- Strong PC skills including advanced Microsoft Excel.
- Experience of writing SQL queries to manage large amounts of data.
- Ability to communicate cross functionally.
- Ideally a background from within a Logistics Planning or Merchandising role.
