This is a pivotal role at the centre of how TGIS delivers for its customers. You will own the coordination and successful delivery of client projects from initiation to formal close, while building the kind of trusted, long-term relationships that turn a single project into an ongoing partnership. You will be the dependable point of contact our customers rely on, and the internal driver who keeps projects on scope, on time, and profitable. It is a role with real room to grow. You do not need to be an engine specialist on day one, but you should be genuinely interested in aviation and engine management and keen to develop your technical understanding over time, working closely with our Head of Technical Services and wider technical team. For the right person, this is a path into deeper account ownership and a senior position within a respected, independent consultancy.
What you will own
- Project delivery & coordination: Own the coordination of client technical projects end to end, from setup through to formal closure. Maintain the project tracker and Fresh Projects so status, milestones and resource are always accurate and visible. Coordinate consultant and internal team availability, making sure the right resource is matched to each project. Lead weekly production meetings, keeping everyone aligned on progress, priorities and next steps. Chase the follow-ups that keep projects moving, and make sure nothing slips between customer, technical team and consultants. Set up and maintain project folders, records and the Projects SharePoint site to a consistently high standard.
- Client relationship & account development: Act as the main point of contact for our customers, building deep, trusted relationships through clear, timely and confident communication. Keep customers genuinely happy, giving them transparency on progress, risks and key decisions throughout each project. Understand each customer’s expectations and priorities so that scope is right first time and delivery meets or exceeds the Customer’s expectations. Spot opportunities to support customers further, introducing other ways TGIS can help and feeding opportunities to the wider team. Become the natural first call for a customer’s next project, laying the groundwork for repeat and retained work.
- Scope, quality & customer expectations: Work with the Head of Technical Services to translate customer requirements into clear, well-defined Statements of Work. Draw on the technical team’s input to shape scope, assumptions and risk, developing your own technical understanding as you go. Manage the SOW approval process through to signature and purchase order confirmation. Identify scope changes early, agree the plan of action internally, and negotiate change requests clearly with the customer. Ensure every scope variation is documented and aligned to the commercial agreement.
- Profitability & performance: Work closely with the Head of Technical Services to track project profitability, comparing actual against budgeted hours. Balance high-quality customer delivery with efficiency, flagging risks to margin, timeline or quality early. Trigger and track invoicing milestones with Finance so billing is accurate and on time. Provide clear, regular reporting on project status, risk and performance to support decision-making.
- Continuous improvement: Request Customer feedback at the end of every project and run post-project reviews, capturing customer feedback, reviews and lessons learned. Turn that feedback into practical improvements to how TGIS scopes and delivers projects. Help refine project processes so delivery gets more consistent and efficient over time.
- Relationships & industry presence: Represent TGIS at selected industry events to strengthen customer relationships and support business development. Build strong working relationships with consultants and third parties, coordinating delivery and resolving issues calmly.
What we are looking for
- Essential: Strong project coordination or project management experience, ideally in a professional services, technical or B2B environment. A natural relationship builder who customers trust and enjoy working with. Excellent organisation and follow-through, comfortable holding many moving parts without dropping any. Confident, clear communicator, in writing and in person, with internal teams and senior customer contacts alike. Commercially aware, with an interest in project profitability and efficient delivery. Genuine interest in aviation and engine management, and a real appetite to learn and develop technically. Comfortable with Microsoft 365 and project or Hubspot (prior experience with Hubspot is desirable, but not essential), and quick to pick up new systems.
- Desirable: Exposure to aviation, aerospace, engineering or asset management. Experience owning customer accounts or acting as a primary client contact. Familiarity with project management systems such as Fresh Projects, SharePoint or a CRM such as HubSpot.

About TGIS Aviation
TGIS is an independent, engine-focussed technical services company blending technical expertise with commercial thinking. Founded in 2002 by aero‑engine expert Trish Gray and aircraft transition specialist Ian Smith, we've spent 20+ years advising airlines and lessors on engine asset management. We solve complex engine problems with clarity and confidence - not generic tech support or box‑ticking. Since 2020 we've been a strategic partner for Optima, a cost optimisation programme co‑developed with PA Consulting and DecisionBrain, delivering major savings and shaping long‑term engine cost control. At TGIS Aviation, we're a growing, high‑performing company building something lasting, not just delivering projects - working at the cutting edge of engine lifecycle management. This role offers real growth potential - not senior on day one, but a genuine path to account ownership within a respected consultancy.
