Are you a commercially minded lawyer who enjoys working alongside senior business leaders and influencing the future of technology, media and sport?

In this pivotal London-based role, you'll be the primary legal advisor to our Technology Services business across the UK, EMEA and Australia, supporting one of the most innovative areas of TGI Sport as we continue our ambitious One TGI transformation.

Working closely with our Chief Legal Officer and senior leaders across Commercial, Product, Engineering and Operations, you'll help shape the legal framework behind the technologies transforming global sports broadcasting—from virtual advertising and LED technology to AI, media rights and intellectual property.

This is far more than a traditional in-house legal role.

You'll be a trusted commercial partner, helping teams innovate at pace while balancing legal risk with commercial opportunity.

You'll advise on strategic projects, influence business-critical decisions and take ownership of global legal areas including AI governance, intellectual property, data privacy and information security.

As TGI Sport continues to integrate multiple international businesses into one global organisation, you'll have the opportunity to help shape not only the legal function, but the future direction of the business itself.

Your Mission

Your role combines strategic legal leadership with commercial business partnering.

You'll work closely with senior stakeholders across multiple regions, enabling innovation while protecting TGI Sport's technology, intellectual property and long-term commercial interests.

  • Act as the primary legal advisor across the UK, EMEA and Australia, supporting virtual advertising, LED operations, media rights and strategic commercial initiatives.
  • Draft, negotiate and advise on a broad range of commercial, technology and intellectual property agreements across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Partner with Commercial, Product, Engineering and Operations teams to accelerate innovation while balancing legal and commercial risk.
  • Lead the management of TGI Sport's global intellectual property portfolio, protecting the technology and innovation that differentiates our business.
  • Act as the global legal lead for AI governance, developing practical frameworks that support responsible adoption of AI across the organisation.
  • Advise on data privacy, GDPR, information security and emerging regulatory developments, helping strengthen compliance and organisational resilience.
  • Support procurement, corporate transactions, governance and company secretarial matters across the UK and Europe.
  • Drive continuous improvement across the legal function by enhancing templates, processes, legal technology, training and knowledge sharing while managing external counsel and supporting junior team members.
  • What You'll Bring

Essential

  • UK qualified solicitor with approximately 5–8 years' PQE gained in private practice and/or an in-house commercial environment.
  • Significant experience advising on commercial contracts within technology, media or intellectual property-focused organisations.
  • Strong expertise across technology law, intellectual property, commercial contracting and data privacy.
  • Experience supporting complex international businesses across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Excellent commercial judgement with the confidence to influence senior stakeholders and balance legal risk with business opportunity.
  • A collaborative approach with the ability to build trusted relationships across technical and non-technical teams.

Desirable

  • Experience within sports technology, sports media, advertising or Saa S businesses.
  • Exposure to AI governance or emerging technology regulation.
  • Experience managing intellectual property portfolios.
  • Exposure to corporate governance or company secretarial responsibilities.
  • An interest in sport, technology and innovation.
