About the role:
As a Group External Reporting Manager, you will be reporting into the Head of External Reporting. You will take ownership of the Group’s consolidation and statutory accounts, including the preparation of half-year and full-year disclosures and monthly reporting. Working closely with Finance, external auditors, lenders and other stakeholders, you will oversee key reconciliations, budgeting and reporting requirements, while managing the Group’s hedge programme and related compliance. You will also act as a key point of contact for Companies House and other regulatory bodies, ensuring accurate and timely reporting across the Group.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Taking responsibility for the completion of all Group consolidation and statutory accounts, including a large retail trading entity and smaller company and branch accounts across Jersey, the Isle of Man and Guernsey
- Preparing half-year and full-year statutory disclosures, working closely with the Finance team on statutory numbers and monthly reporting
- Managing reconciliations within the statutory accounts and annual budgeting across impairments, hedges and other corporate accounts
- Liaising directly with external auditors to ensure the timely completion of the audit and acting as the key point of contact for external audit
- Completing monthly reporting to lenders, banks and other Group stakeholders
- Working with FX brokers and the merchandising team to manage the Group’s hedge programme and related compliance
- Liaising with Companies House and other regulatory bodies to resolve queries relating to statutory disclosures

Experience required for this role will include:
- Experience in Group reporting (ideal not essential), consolidation and statutory accounts, ideally within a complex or multi-entity environment
- Experience preparing statutory disclosures, management reporting, reconciliations and budgets, with strong technical accounting knowledge
- Proven experience managing external audits and liaising with auditors, lenders and regulatory bodies
- Strong analytical and Excel skills, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Confident stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across Finance and wider business teams
- Experience with hedging, FX or treasury-related activities would be advantageous
- Relevant accounting qualification such as ACA or ACCA is desirable
