We specialise in manufacturing high precision machined components for demanding customers, who operate in some of the world’s most challenging environments. Williams is an AS9100 accredited company, providing cutting edge solutions to the Aerospace, Nuclear, Medical, Formula 1 & Performance Sports Car, and Commercial markets.

We are looking for a dynamic skilled CNC Turner to join our team of engineers. The role will involve programming, setting and operating CNC machines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Includes all aspects of CNC Turning.
  • Programming, setting and operating our Mazak Machining Centres.
  • Working on highly complex components with a strict GD&T adherence and being compliance to technical documentation.
  • Use of measuring equipment to check components to maintain our high-quality standards.
  • Work to health and safety and our housekeeping standards.

Requirements:

  • Experience as a CNC Turner (programmer, Setter, Operator).
  • Previous experience machining complex components.
  • The ability to read complex technical drawings and apply GD&T where required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where general helpfulness and flexibility are essential attributes for this role.
  • A passion for engineering and the appreciation and commitment to achieve our client’s requirements is essential.
  • Hard Turning experience would be an advantage.
  • Aerospace industry experience would be an advantage.

  • Full time hours are 40 hours per week Monday to Thursday 7.45am to 4.15pm (1/2-hour lunch break) and Friday 6.45am to 2.45pm (No lunch break).
  • Overtime during the week and on Saturdays are paid at time and a half.
  • Holiday entitlement is currently 22 days per annum (rising with length of service) plus English public/bank holidays.
  • Company pension scheme.
