Role Summary
Senior Lead Drug Safety (0.8 FTE) – responsible for providing senior leadership and oversight across drug safety and pharmacovigilance activities while remaining hands‑on in operational delivery, ensuring high‑quality case handling, compliance, and process optimization across a global portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and oversight across Drug Safety and Pharmacovigilance activities
- Act at both portfolio and departmental level to ensure quality and continuity
- Remain hands‑on with safety case review, escalations and oversight of AE/SAE processing
- Support global safety activities including US regulatory requirements
- Lead, mentor and support safety team members
- Build, improve and implement safety processes and workflows
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine or a related field (advanced degree preferred)
- Strong experience in Drug Safety / Pharmacovigilance within a CRO or similar environment
- Proven leadership experience, either through team management or senior functional oversight
- Solid knowledge of global pharmacovigilance regulations and processes
- Ability to work both operationally and strategically
