Overview:
The role is a commercially focused Merchandiser position with significant ownership of key supplier brands. You will work closely with the Head of Merchandising, Buying teams, Account Managers and external brand partners to drive profitable growth across the category.
The role:
- You will be responsible for forecasting, stock and availability, acting as a strategic commercial partner to brands using insight, data and strong stakeholder management to influence decisions around ranging, newness, promotions and long-term growth.
- You will lead and develop a team to ensure best practice, strong execution and continuous improvement.
This role is ideal for an experienced Merchandiser who enjoys combining analytical rigor with commercial decision-making and brand collaboration.
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead the merchandising relationship for key supplier accounts, collaborating with brands and Account Managers to align forecasts, stock, ranging and commercial priorities.
- With Head of Merchandising, oversee supplier forecasts, replenishment, newness buys, stockholding, WSSIs, ranging and availability.
- Oversee the day-to-day running of the team and assist the Head of Merchandising where required.
- Manage company replenishment parameters, ensuring alignment to availability and stock targets.
- Review promotional performance and NPD performance with the Buying team.
- React to sales and market changes to maximise sales and meet KPIs.
- With your buyer, lead and own quarterly range reviews.
What you’ll bring:
- A proven/experienced Merchandiser or an experienced Junior Merchandiser seeking progression.
- Analytically minded and commercially aware.
- Excellent communication skills, highly organised with strong Excel ability.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in a fast-paced Beauty/Retail/FMCG environment (preferred but not essential).
- Experience managing a large store estate (preferred but not essential).
