A trusted global provider of Legal and Information services has a new job requirement for an Information Manager to manage the Information Services Team in delivering consistently excellent information and research services to a UK law firm with multiple offices. You can be based anywhere in the UK.
The Information Manager will lead the Information Team, ensuring the provision of a professional Information service to the law firm across the UK.
Key Job Responsibilities will include:- Line Management of the Information Services team
- Research: answering higher level and complex legal research requests. Monitoring and tracking trends in the enquiry service
- Procurement/Resource Management: management of the Information Resources and budget
- Client Management
- Actively promoting the service to end users/key stakeholders
- Significant experience in Information Services, preferably in a legal environment
- Ability to effectively communicate with senior stakeholders
- Experience undertaking legal research and answering secondary research enquiries
- Extensive knowledge of key information and research databases
- Effective line management or Team Leader experience
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Confident in managing budgets and vendors
- Willingness to adapt approaches based on organisation changes
- Ability to anticipate and resolve problems
- Dedication to the client and the requirements of external and internal colleagues
- Information-related qualification (degree or postgraduate) such as an MSc in Library and Information Studies, and/or equivalent qualification (CILIP chartership)
This is a full-time, permanent position and can be based remotely across the UK, with the ability to attend the London office periodically, which is expensed, or indeed to attend one of various offices across the country if you prefer.
